PRAGYATA FOUNDATION is a charitable trust which came into existence on 28th day of October 2015 vide Registration no-18387 & Amended on 8th Day of April 2019 vide Registration no-239.

PRAGYATA FOUNDATION has been formed by Mrs. Mamta Yadav with a vision to serve society at large to make this world a better place to live in for all.

PRAGYATA FOUNDATION primarily focuses on making available Education (basic as well as higher) to people of all age groups, providing all type of facilities like health facilities, along with Women Empowerment, various other awareness programs, mental health, social awareness, child welfare for Human Development in rural and urban areas,Environment and fulfilling all the basic needs of a person to lead a normal life at cost affordable to the general public of the society without any motive to make profit or to have any other form of gain by doing so.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PRAGYATA FOUNDATION

Since October 2015 we have carried out various activities, some of which have been mentioned below:

• Opened education centres and conducted cost-free regular tuitions/remedial classes for underprivileged children and women to encourage literacy among them

• Opened play schools for underprivileged children whose parents are working

• Set up Silai centres to promote life & job skills among women, increased employment opportunities, as well as helped create livelihood opportunities for the empowerment of women

• Conducted free-of-cost regular classes on a weekly basis to inculcate basic spoken English and IT skills in those who cannot afford the same

• Conducted free-of-cost English classes on a weekly basis (3 days a week) at Govt. Girls Primary School, Nathupur, Gurugram

• Admitted education-deprived children to school with their expenses covered and documentations like Aadhar card and Bank Account Details completed

• Conducted annual education awareness campaigns and surveys

• Organised competitions and workshops in various schools and colleges especially in Delhi, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh

• Donated books, furniture, stationary items, school bags, woollen products, garments, blankets, utensils, pollution masks, sanitary pads, health & hygiene related products etc.

• Set up libraries and computer labs to promote reading habits and computer skills

• Organised regular extracurricular activities, competitions & Olympiads, as well as yearly summer camps for one month, including festive celebrations, wall painting etc. for children

• Organised free lunches and meals for the underprivileged

• Conducted Menstrual hygiene awareness sessions along with distribution of menstrual care products for women

• Organised workshops, campaigns, surveys, street plays, story enactment and storytelling sessions conducted by experts, including sessions to generate awareness about human rights, women & child rights, emotional intelligence, health care, nutrition and hygiene, life skills, environmental awareness etc.

• Conducted health check-up camps, dance/fitness workshops and provided free medicinal facilities

• Organised India’s first-ever charitable Model United Nations Conference to promote a range of social issues, with participation from Ivy League colleges, top universities from around the globe, schools all over India, and real world luminaries

• Organised Wellness programs, yoga sessions/workshops on Mental Health for Delhi police, de-addiction centres for general public

• Organised a Mental Health Awareness event - "Kuch Kehna Hai" in New Delhi, graced by former Health Minister - Dr. Yoganand Shastri

• Organised a District level seminar with National Medicinal Plants Board, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi. Carried out Medicinal and Fruits tree plantation and cleanliness drives

• Conducted activities as POCSO COMMITTEE member with Ryan International School

• Started free regular classes for tribal communities in 8 villages of Nagva block of Sonbhadra District, U.P. with more than 10 volunteers

• Our team engaged in Relief work and other significant contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic by helping people in rural regions in downloading Aarogya Setu App and educating them about its features. Conducted regular Food, Ration, Masks, Sanitizers & Soaps distribution drives for the marginalised communities and set up Community Kitchen at Nathupur, Gurugram

• Various newspapers, electronic media platforms as well as the Delhi Government have recognised the social work conducted by our team

• Received appreciation and felicitation from various individuals, and recognised as a Finalist in the prestigious eNGO awards organized by DEF in Education & Learning category.
