On 1st May 2023, Pragyata Foundation organized an event to celebrate International Labor Day in Siyaria village, Nagwa block in Sonbhadra district, U.P. The event was aimed at recognizing and honoring the contributions of workers to society, and also highlighting the issues that they face on a daily basis.

The event had a specific focus on ensuring the availability of work and timely payment of wages for laborers, as well as promoting local employment to enhance overall development of the village. There was a detailed discussion on various issues related to labor, including the registration of laborers in the labor department without any discrimination towards the workers. Through these discussions, the capacity of the laborers was also enhanced.
