"Pen is mightier than sword."

Introduction

Prism gives young people from diverse backgrounds a platform to express their views about the world and their dreams for the future. Participants demonstrate their ability to stimulate and provoke discussions about important issues like poverty, sustainable development, gender inequality, child labour and universal education in the form of articles, essays, poems, stories etc. in English and Hindi both. It is conducted to assess the writing skills and creativity of the participants. Participants are encouraged to be creative in their response.

We all are well aware about the marvellous capabilities of a ‘prism’. It’s a platform where young lights from different corners showcase their talent by splitting ‘the art of writing’ into its beautiful constituents such as essays, poems, novels etc.

Pen is mightier than sword. Thus writing is one of the best methods of expressing one’s views on a certain issue as it opens a wide world of creativity and imagination for the writer.

Other Details

This is a one-level Competition. Students from class 3-12, college students and above are eligible for taking part in this competition. Individual participation is accepted. We won’t be giving any specific topics from our side as we want to let the participants free to write. Thus, entries can be based on any topic.Participants have to express their imagination and creativity using any of the following forms of writing in either of the two languages – English or Hindi:

1) Article

2) Poem

3) Story

4) Essay

5) Novel

6) Any other similar form of writing

We’ll be accepting typed entries via E-Mail; however couriered entries can also be sent.

Winners from participating Schools/Colleges/Institutions will be informed by their School/Colleges/Institutions. The prizes for those winners will be sent to their Schools/Colleges/Institutions. Individual participation winners will be informed individually and their prizes will be sent to them. However, the list of the winners will also be uploaded on our website.
