INDEPENDENCE DAY AND RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS
Pragyata Foundation celebrated the day of sibling love and the one which marks India's freedom with full fervour. Children made paper flags and were told about the history behind India's struggle for freedom and how it ultimately led to independence from the colonisers. The celebrations also included the customary flag hoisting ceremony and the national anthem was sung. They tied beautiful rakhis on each others' wrists as a symbol of love which binds them together. The children enjoyed the day with dance, music and snacks.
