On the occasion of Global Handwashing Day, Pragyata Foundation, in collaboration with Geostrata Foundation, conducted an awareness drive for underprivileged children. The event was held at one of the education centers in Munirka and witnessed enthusiastic participation from both children and volunteers.
Children were educated about the importance of handwashing in maintaining cleanliness and preventing infectious diseases. Practical demonstrations were conducted to illustrate the 6-step handwashing technique, emphasizing the critical times to wash hands, such as before meals and after using the restroom.
Furthermore, the Geostrata Foundation also donated ready-to-mix handwash powders to the children, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to implement proper hand hygiene practices in their daily lives. Stationery kits and snacks were also distributed among them.
Overall, the awareness drive was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the children and inspiring them to adopt proper hygiene practices to lead a healthy and successful life.
