"Health is like money. We never have a true idea of its value until we lose it."
~ Josh Billings
Pragyata Foundation, in association with Healing Mind, organized a Wellness camp in the locality of D-6, Vasant Kunj for people of all age groups.
Today, due to toxic food ingredients, nutritional deficiencies, lack of physical exercise and flow of negative thoughts through the mind, has led to prevalence of various chronic diseases, stress, depression and several psychosomatic problems in people. Dr. Sandeep Kumar from Adhytam Sadhna Kendra, Chattarpur and Mr. Bharat Sehrawat from Healing Mind and their team provided solutions to these common, yet major problems in the lives of most of the people. The solutions majorly revolved around three points: healthy diet, proper sleep, and adequate exercise and meditation. This was facilitated by demonstration of meditation during the workshop to calm the wandering mind. Furthermore, the power of positive visualization and affirmations was told by facilitating it with examples from recent studies which have brought out surprising, yet true results in favour of the visualization technique. They were also told how to ensure the intake of a balanced diet and how to pair food items so as to derive maximum benefit out of them. Before culminating the event, the same kind of healthy food was served to encourage people towards healthy eating habits, which consisted of sprouts, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Queries and questions from the audience were also answered and solutions to their problems were provided.
