STORY ENACTMENT ACTIVITY
“One of the things about acting is that it allows you to live other people’s lives without having to pay the price.”
- Robert de Niro
Enacting stories has a positive influence on the child especially when they are parables. It helps in the mental development and is a great learning experience.
We conducted a collaborative group activity where children enacted a story by playing roles of different characters using props and masks. It was a fun activity and they had an amazing time.
Stories have always been intriguing to the young and tender minds and so they did today. Like every other activity, this was also an interesting one. We found that the kids had a natural propensity for enacting characters and different situations. They were also told about the moral values that the stories possessed.
Apparently, just a fun activity, it rendered a deep impact on the psychological exploration of the child. They learnt a lot through the process of exploring themselves and simultaneously relating themselves with others. It also happened to be a multicultural educational opportunity as well.
