Children are often not taught safety rules clearly and are somehow expected to derive them from what people around them say and do. A well-educated child may already have a grasp of fundamental safety rules. But others may not.
Pragyata Foundation conducted a workshop on safety tips and rules with the assistance of Mrs. Karuna Sood from the Defence Ministry and Mr. Rajan Das. Along with sharing such guidelines with children, their queries were answered and real life incidents were shared. They were encouraged to follow the ABC principle - Always Be Careful. And indeed, we must always be totally aware of our surroundings and act accordingly in order to be safe. For it is rightly said, safety is not a gadget but a state of mind.
By following such simple safety rules and guidelines we can make sure all children are safe in and outside their homes, on the road, in school, in public places etc.
