World Malaria Day 2019

25TH APRIL, 2019

WORLD MALARIA DAY

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) nearly half of the world’s population is at risk of malaria, and 70% of all malaria deaths are to children under 5 age group. On the occasion of the World Malaria Day, a session was conducted by Pragyata Foundation to raise awareness about the life-threatening disease. The audience was educated about the causes of Malaria, precautions to be taken and how to identify the first signs and symptoms and take appropriate measures.

It is rightly said, precaution is better than cure. By keeping in mind a few important precautions, we can save ourselves from this disease.
1) Use insect and mosquito repellents.
2) Stay covered.
3) Keep an eye out for malaria symptoms and discuss any such symptom with a doctor as soon as possible.
4) Be aware of the risks.
5) Use mosquito net.

We thank Mr. Ankit Sharma and his team for making the session a success.
