Project Vidya- Getting people a sustainable living

Under this project the stitching center in Nathupur, Gurugram receives annual support from the SITARAM JINDAL FOUNDATION in the form of donations.

Project Vidya is dedicated to promoting women and youth empowerment by equipping them with essential skills for a sustainable livelihood. We believe that education and vocational training are powerful tools that can transform lives and uplift communities. In pursuit of this mission, our organization provides various resources and support:

Computer Facilities and Labs: We establish computer facilities and labs to ensure access to digital education and technology. Through these spaces, women and youth can learn computer literacy skills, coding, software usage, and other relevant technical skills that enhance their employability in the digital age.

Libraries and Academic Resources: We set up libraries equipped with a diverse range of academic and non-academic literature. These resources enable individuals to enhance their knowledge, develop critical thinking abilities, and explore their interests. Access to quality reading materials fosters a culture of lifelong learning and personal growth.

Silai Centres: We establish Silai Centres equipped with sewing machines and necessary materials. These centers offer training in tailoring and garment production, empowering women with valuable skills for self-employment or potential job opportunities in the textile industry. By promoting entrepreneurship and vocational skills, we aim to foster economic independence among women.

Handicrafts Production Training: We provide training programs in handicraft production, where individuals learn traditional and contemporary crafting techniques. By honing their skills in pottery, weaving, embroidery, and other crafts, participants can create marketable products and generate income through their artistic endeavors.

Teachers and Guidance: Project Vidya ensures that each program area has dedicated teachers and mentors who guide and support the participants throughout their learning journey. These educators offer personalized instruction, mentorship, and counseling to help individuals overcome challenges, build confidence, and make informed decisions about their future.

Through these initiatives, Project Vidya aims to break the cycle of poverty, promote gender equality, and foster sustainable livelihoods. By equipping women and youth with practical skills, knowledge, and resources, we empower them to pursue meaningful careers, contribute to their families' financial well-being, and positively impact their communities. Our ultimate goal is to create a society where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.
